Strathaven - Farmhouse
Early design proposals for the renovation and extension of a traditional farm cottage in Strathaven, creating a more connected and contemporary rural home.
The project seeks to improve the existing spatial arrangement while introducing a carefully considered rear extension that strengthens the relationship between the house, garden and surrounding farmland. The proposals respond to the character of the original cottage, creating improved living spaces that make the most of the property's rural setting and long-distance views.
A detailed computer model has been developed to explore and test design ideas at an early stage, allowing the impact of different approaches to be carefully considered before progressing the proposals further.
